Why the big focus on diversity? Wouldn't focusing on what we have in common make us stronger?
Sure-everyone brings different talents, ideas, cultures to the table, but doesn't focusing so much on what makes us different creates seperation?
In any country, why don't we try focusing on what we have in common like citizenship, community service, dreams, ideas, goals...?

California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. signed the California DREAM Act. While the US Congress has still not passed the federal DREAM act, Jerry Brown took action by signing the state of California version of the act. AB 131, authored by Assemblymember Gil Cedillo (D-Los Angeles) allows top high school students who are on the path to citizenship to apply for college financial aid.
